Article: An Inspirational Teacher
After interviewing one of our teachers here at East Middle School, I have found out many things about him. From where he attended school to why he decided to do what he does. Mr. Baldwin, East Middle School Social Studies teacher for the 6th grade, attended North Carolina State University to become a teacher. When he started teaching at east Middle School in the year of 1998, he set a goal for the future of seeing at least 90% of his students graduate from high-school to start their life’s in the new world. He told us that he decided to teach because of us, the kids. His favorite part of teaching is just working with the different types of students and their attitude towards accomplishment and it is never boring because every day is a new easel waiting to be filled with the paint of knowledge. In his life, he wants his children, or students, to learn about life and become respectful and productive members of society. A few of his students told us that “he’s a good teacher”, Heaven, “he’s fun to learn around”, Mikeya, and he is also “nice”, Giselle. So all around you can see from this interview that many of our teachers at this wonderful school are loved and came into life just as we are coming into life today.

Well, I don’t know about your life long dreams but mine are going to waste. The reason being that I have thought about it and when I FINALLY get a job, I want to Photograph Nature. But my problem is that by the time I get old enough to do that, nature and it’s wildlife will be gone, forever. I have tried to put some pictures on here of what I am talking about but I don’t know if it worked. I hope so. Nature is SO beautiful and I love it. I have been told that if you were born in April, then you are a nature child and I was born in April so I guess the truth has been told!!! We humans are both the cause and the effect in this situation. We caused it by polluting and we can be the effect by either killing our world or making changes and helping save our earth. It is your choice, do you want to help or not?

Now by this quote, you can most likely tell that we depend on oil to get through everyday life. If I strike oil, I will be rich…people will love me! But I think that that is a little scary to know that we depend that much on natural resources. To me, depending on natural resources so much that it will be gone before we know it is like polluting our Earth so much that it will eventually be gone just like our precious resources. So we need to find a way to stop all the polluting and FAST! So here is my question for you. If you were to create a new solution to pollution, what would your solution be? How would you do it?

This post is going to be about polluiton. First off, the more you pollute the faster you die so if that’s what you want, then keep it up but I don’t. Changes need to be made in the way our people live these days. If you are too lazy to put your trash into a trash can…..EAT IT! Well, you might now want to do that but recycle it, use it over if you can, but PLEASE don’t just throw it out your window. I want to live and I am sure you do so think about our Earth….don’t you think it wants to live too? Did you know that most of the pollution today is created by human activity and not naturally? Also, there are many types of pollution, some being: land pollution, water pollution, and air pollution. And each one of those is narrowed down to even smaller types of themselves! Isn’t that scary?
